KOTRONOMAZOMATA 2026 – A FESTIVAL LIKE THE OLD DAYS

Another special event seems to be becoming established in our village by the active Cultural Association. “Mazomata” is an outdoor, winter, nomadic festival that combines walking in nature, cooking in old locations, and music with dancing. Thus, this year as well, on Sunday, February 8th, the "Kotronomazomata" took place at the "Kotroni tou Svokou" location, a place of exceptional natural beauty, with a panoramic view of the village and the iconic Kotroni dominating the bottom of the field. The Board of Directors of our Association, in accordance with its statute, invites its members to attend the Annual General Assembly Report which will take place at CRYSTAL CITY HOTEL Achilleos 4, 10437 Athens (Karaiskaki Square – Metaxourgeio Metro Station), telephone: 2105205145 on the January 25, 2026, day Sunday and time 11:30 AM. until 3:00 PM. “October events in our village are now an institution”

28η October 2025: Wood-fired Italian pizza with trachana, we say NO to the ordinary

Keeping his promise, the Cultural Association of Homorites Worldwide organized an autumn gastronomy festival again this year. Trahana had the place of honor. The first day's event, Sunday, October 26, began with the laying of wreaths in the rain at the War Memorial in the village square. About 80 people gathered in the courtyard of the coffee shop and put the ingredients in the cauldron: 20 liters of water from the Megali Vrysi, 5 kilos of trahana, butter, salt, and an oka of feta cheese. WITH GREAT SUCCESS THE “GATHERING OF HOMORITES FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD 2024”

With a very large turnout and great success, the event of the association “Antamωμα of All Homorites of Nafpaktia 2024” was organized on Saturday, August 10, at 8:30 in the evening, at the beautiful venue of the Lymbereion Cultural Center of Homora.

At the beginning of the event, the president of the Association, Babis Hantzis, welcomed all the members and friends of the Association and the village, and thanked them for their massive turnout. He particularly thanked those who helped and contributed to the success of the event. He also thanked the youth of the village, whose participation exceeded all expectations. (more…)

Continuing the tradition of recent years, the Association of All Homorites of Nafpaktia will hold on August 10, 2024, day Saturday and time 20:30 its main event «Homorites Gathering 2024» in the beautiful venue of the Cultural Center of our village.

With special enthusiasm and passion, the Association's administration has prepared a special folk-traditional music night, with live music, fun, dancing, and partying until the morning. The event catering by the master of the craft Giannis Antonopoulos, «Wind-swept Saddle». (more…)
